Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

This is my normal gigging preset (1 of 4) for live shows. It uses "Stomp/Snap" mode (4 stomps on the top row / 4 Snapshots on the bottom row), and has a CLEAN; a EDGE OF BREAKUP; a CRUNCH/DRIVE; and a DISTORTION on the snapshot rows - Right to left. These are achieved with various amp parameters adjusted for the "just right for the song" settings. The stomps are just 4 effects I use in various songs, Phaser, Flanger, Auto Swell, Chorus, in this case. I also have a Wah assigned to EXP1, and Volume block assigned to EXP2. EXP2 also activates, 1d-midf-boost via an EQ, switches Delays from short to longer/heavier mix/more feedback once you pass 85% of the throw. The volume is also set for 72% at "HEEL DOWN" and 100% at "TOE DOWN", so you can leave it heel-down and have a rhythm volume level, and go to toe-down and have 100% level with all the delay, mid-boost, etc goodness.. once your solo is over, no more "hunting" for the right rhythm level, just go back to toe-down and you're there! The Cab is a stock dual cab, but you could easily insert your favorite IR here. For best results, if you wish to follow my settings, I have Guitar PAD = OFF; 1/4" Input set to: INSTRUMENT level; XLR Out set to "Mic" Level; and I have a -2.0 dB setting on the output block, to keep levels equitable with a mic'd up cabinet, so you're not too hot for the PA. Lastly, I also have a path split-off from the lower signal chain that is set to go to the 1/4" outputs, AND "HELIX VOLUME CONTROL" set to XLR only. This way, what goes to Front of House (PA) via the XLR can not be affected by adjusting the Helix Volume knob. The helix Volume controls only the 1/4" out, and that is the output of the
